Description

This course is designed for beginners who have not studied Finnish before, as well as for those who have some prior experience but would like to revise the basics. During the course, participants will become familiar with the fundamentals of the Finnish language under the guidance of an experienced teacher who can explain the material in several languages, including Russian. Throughout the course, we will work on correct pronunciation, learn to read and understand simple texts, study the basics of grammar, practice forming sentences, and develop basic communication skills in Finnish. Classes are held online once a week on Wednesdays from 6:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m., from January 28 to March 25, 2026, on the following dates: January 28; February 4, 11, 25; March 4, 11, 18, 25, 2026. The time and/or day of the classes may be adjusted during the course if requested by participants. If a proposed change is suitable for all course members, it can be implemented.
